Duties

Help
  • Provide direct supervision and leadership to a team of management and program analysts.
  • Evaluates operations supervised in terms of mission accomplishment.
  • Oversees the Depot's Continuous Process Improvement Programs
  • Oversees the Depot’s ERP programs.
  • Provides Oversight for the Depot’s Quality Assurance (QA) Program.

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • Must pass the Army Lean Six Sigma Black Belt exam and receive Army Black Belt candidate status within 24 Months.
  • Must meet Data Analytic level two (2) certification within 24 months of appointment.
  • This position is supervisory as defined by the Office of Personnel Management's (OPM) General Schedule Supervisory Guide (GSSG). A one-year probation to assess your ability to perform supervisory duties is required unless previously completed.

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes analyzing and evaluating new or modified policies and procedures; leading or participating in project teams to resolve complex operational problems; providing guidance on process improvement methodologies such as Lean Six Sigma; and offering technical expertise on Quality Assurance (QA) policies and procedures and/or enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems such as LMP, GCSS-A or GFEBS to support supply, logistics and business processes. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS11)

Education

About the Position: Sierra Army Depot is located in Herlong CA, a rural town in Northern California. Herlong is approximately 60 miles north of Reno, NV, and 35 miles south of Susanville, CA. Employees work a 4/10 work week, Mon-Thurs, 0630-1700 hrs. Youth Facilities and daily child care available. The depot serves as an Army Expeditionary Logistical Support Center, (Mass transportation is available at minimal cost.) Surrounding area boasts a full range of outdoor sports/recreation activities.
