Help

  • Implements and administers the SAP Information Security Program; Serves as a Security Professional for the testing, fielding and protection of advanced and Special Access Program resources and technologies.
  • Implements and administers the Personnel Security Program. Establishes local procedures for processing access requests for military, civilian and contractor personnel
  • Implements and administers SAP Industrial Security Program. Review and coordinate on contractor visitor security group agreements and DD Form 254, Contract Security Classification Specifications for technical accuracy, extent of security protection required, and sufficiency of classification guidance prior to approval.
  • Implements and administers the physical security program. Implements DOD, USAF, DIA and MAJCOM policies and directives for the construction, protection and operation of all advanced programs facilities to include Sensitive Compartmented Information Facilities (SCIFS

Qualifications

Experience requirements are described in the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualification Standards for General Schedule Positions, Security Administration Series 0080

SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Applicants must have at least 1 year (52 weeks) of specialized experience at the next lower broadband NH-02, equivalent to the next lower grade GS-11 or equivalent in other pay systems. Specialized experience is experience in Specialized experience is described as: providing and serving as a special programs security specialist, providing expert technical advice in the complex area of security for special access programs; classification management program; security violations; security education and awareness training; and security surveys and special programs security inspections for assigned programs.
. NOTE: Due to the use of 120-day rosters, this period of experience may be completed within 120 days of the closing date of this announcement.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSAs): Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the following areas:
1. Knowledge of information, industrial, physical and personnel security concepts, principles, and practices to plan and implement security programs in these areas.
2. Knowledge of Special Access Program (SAP) and Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) security procedures.
3. Skill in developing, analyzing and evaluating SAP security programs to meet mission requirements and improve the security program for the organization.
4. Ability to establish effective professional working relationships with co-workers and customer, contributing to a cooperative working environment and successful accomplishment of the mission.
5. Ability to plan, organize work, and meet deadlines.

PART-TIME OR UNPAID EXPERIENCE: Credit will be given for appropriate unpaid and or part-time work. You must clearly identify the duties and responsibilities in each position held and the total number of hours per week.

VOLUNTEER WORK EXPERIENCE: Refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service Programs (i.e., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student and social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge and skills that can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
