Duties

Help

The successful candidate will perform the full range of duties as a principal authoritative senior advisor supporting the mission of the agency through the provision of guidance and advice to facilitate effective and efficient corporate and mission support activities.

Such duties include but are not limited to:

  • Provides expertise, guidance and direction on corporate and mission support and administrative matters related to business process improvements, financial and human resources matters, management analysis, procurement, contract administration, information technology and management, facility and space management, and related administrative management activities.
  • Evaluates corporate and mission support and administrative activities, identifying opportunities to improve efficiency, performance, and alignment with agency goals.

Qualifications

In order to qualify for this position, you must have at least one year of specialized experience at the next lower grade level in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.

SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE is defined as: advising senior leadership on strategic and operational matters; advising and providing expertise, guidance and direction on corporate and mission support and administrative matters covering a variety of subjects; successfully managing and coordinating competing priorities, identifying opportunities to improve efficiency and performance; problem solving skills; experience developing and managing Federal budgets, programs, schedules, procurement and/or human capital.

The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate the following:

  1. Knowledge of corporate and mission support and administrative matters, work functions, and processes, related to financial and human capital matters, management analysis, procurement, contract administration, information technology and management, facility and space management, physical and personnel security and associated administrative management matters required to support mission critical activities.
  2. Demonstrated ability to quickly and independently evaluate and review programs, policy, and strategy issues, and recommend solutions and process improvements.
  3. Demonstrated ability to present information, both orally and in writing, to build and sustain coalitions within and across organizations. Specific experience directly communicating, tactfully and effectively, information, ideas, and advice with colleagues, senior management officials, and other internal or external stakeholders.
  4. Demonstrated ability to develop and implement successful approaches to problem solving, conflict resolution, apply effective decision-making using available information.
