Duties

  • You will be responsible for Program Management within the Production Department of Southeast Regional Maintenance Center (SERMC).
  • You will provide support of the Warfighting Readiness Program by directing, executing, assigning, managing and monitoring the accomplishment of warfighting response plans according to established requirements and guidelines.
  • You will plan, execute, monitor, and be responsible for the Maritime Support Plan (MSP), Global Maritime Response Plan (GMRP), Exercise Planning, Integration and Participation, and NAVSEA Response Plans.
  • You will develop integrated Warfighting Readiness Response Plans that outline execution, planning and readiness.
  • You will establish formal ship deployment prioritization process with Fleet and TYCOM.
  • You will standardize formal Expeditionary I-Level Forward Deployed Ship Repair Team (FDSRT) capabilities and Expeditionary Maintenance and Repair Facility (EMRF) requirements addressing SFIMA gaps.
  • You will jointly establish BDAR team requirements and associated C2 structure per the SEaRM CONOPs with other stakeholders.
  • You will oversee Command and Control (C2) and technical support Aspects of Ship’s Force organic repairs via Distance Support.
  • You will perform a wide range of executive level management, analyses, and administrative tasks including, but not limited to the following: strategy alignment, requirements generation, and development of wartime readiness plan.
  • You will will develop, analyze, and collect execution data from CNRMC to ascertain whether the funding and staffing requirement levels are adequate for SERMC.

  • You will be required to successfully complete a pre-appointment physical examination.
  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final Top Secret security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
  • Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or fail the test. You will be subject to random testing.
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
  • This position is considered Key/Emergency-Essential. You will be required to provide immediate and continuing support to ensure the success of combat operations or the availability of combat-essential systems.
  • This is a Mission Essential position. You will be required to ensure organization or facility continuity of operations and/or completion of tasks that are considered essential to the mission designated by a local or command decision.

Qualifications

To qualify for the GS-14, your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-13 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:

  • Experience demonstrating knowledge of U.S. Navy maintenance support policies, procedure, and objectives.
  • Experience displaying aggressiveness, originality, and creativity among technical teams while employing diplomacy to resolve complex logistical chokepoints under tight timelines.
  • Experience maintaining continuous operations during high-pressure situations, demonstrating extreme adaptability to changing enterprise warfighting postures.
  • Experience conducting site visits to industrial areas, OCONUS naval facilities, and aboard naval vessels to inspect maintenance postures and assess fleet readiness.
  • Experience regularly briefing and coordinating with high-level flag officers, senior executives, and technical personnel, translating complex marine engineering and contracting strategies into actionable policies.
  • Experience ensuring all operations comply with stringent military and federal regulations, routinely participating in strategic workload forecasting to prepare for wartime contingencies.
