Help

Assists in the operation of the Golf Pro Shop at the Medal of Honor Golf Course, Quantico, VA. Executes essential functions of the Golf Pro Shop to ensure smooth day-to-day operation. Performs all functions vital to daily operations to include but not limited to opening the shop, tee sheets, operating the Point of Sale (POS) system, preparing and submitting daily financial reports. Assists in maintaining golf shop inventory control including receiving, entering and displaying merchandise. Tracks daily rounds and sales in the POS system. Keeps the golf shop neat, clean and orderly. Assists members by providing and interpreting policies, rules, and regulations. 

Promotes sale of merchandise and participation in events at the club. May perform club repair. Be aware of the activities and status of the outside operations, golf carts, etc. Assists outside operations when needed.
Relays instructions from supervisor. Gets work started. Sets work pace. Demonstrates work methods and provides work-related guidance. Ensures worksite materials and tools are available to complete work. Reports workplace injuries immediately to the immediate or higher-level supervisor, and to the Human Resources office in the absence of the immediate supervisor. Checks with supervisor on problems. Checks on work and meets productivity goals. 

Ensures employees follow security, safety and housekeeping rules. Conducts on-the-job training and instructions.
Serves as the purchase cardholder for the Golf Pro Shop, ensuring compliance with Regional Procurement Office (RPO) and Headquarters, Marine Corps (MR) policies and procedures, including training, review, and account maintenance. Monitors transactions, reconciliation procedures, and maximizes programs use of purchase card. Ensures PII compliance in the handling of personal data.  Provides World Class Customer Service with an emphasis on courtesy. Assists customers and communicates positively in a friendly manner.

Qualifications

Minimum one year experience in a related recreational activity. 

Skill to demonstrate activities and use of related facility equipment. Skill to learn applicable MCCS policies and procedures. 

This is a mixed position where the incumbent must be able to lift and carry objects up to 45lbs independently and objects over 45lbs with assistance.
