Oversight of performance and management of administrative operations of the department.
Assist in the development of plans, programs, and monitoring of clinics and health plan management.
Develop policies and/or programs related to organizational structure, civilian human resource programs, selection, orientation, evaluation, training, awards, and discipline.
Analyze administrative clinical practices and recommends improvements in areas of deficiency.
Serve as the Contracting Officer’s Representative (COR) to local Contracting Officer for the administrative support of civilian contracts.
Monitor compliance regulations, statutes and/or establishes control procedures to ensure compliance.
Investigate patient inquiries, complaints and/o use interpersonal and communication skills effectively to advocate for patients, families, employees, and other public entities by providing information and seeking solutions to complaints.
Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.

This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11).
