Help
  • You will coordinate security measures for a wide range of visitors, government contractors, military personnel and civilians.
  • You will oversee Personnel Security programs including Personnel Security investigations, continuous evaluation, access control and security training.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-09) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized Experience must demonstrate the following:

  • Using a wide range of security principles, concepts, policies, practices and methods of HR administration including personnel security suitability and adjudicative guidelines, agency specific qualifications, Federal personnel security regulations, and investigative standards;
  • Applying policy direction to specific operating requirements and making recommendations for change and/or developing guidance for applying security policy, procedures, techniques, equipment, and methods to improve personnel security programs;
  • Utilizing a wide range of principles, concepts and methodologies associated with the security administration field;
  • Analyzing and/or resolving difficult and complex security problems as relating to specific areas of personnel and information security;
  • Preparing, reviewing and evaluating all security investigative reports and investigations for the purpose of recommending the granting or denying of clearances and/or downgrading, removing/revoking clearances in cases where access is denied;
  • Administering specialized applications or established variations in security criteria involving considerations such as clearance level required, adjudication of security clearances when clear­ cut derogatory information is present in the investigative information, nature of materials or information to the protected, cost-benefit relationships for security devices or equipment systems, and similar considerations;
  • Utilizing general to specific knowledge of security objectives, programs, procedures, and skills in various entities of the Command's physical and personnel security areas; AND
  • Interpreting and applying security rules, regulations and policies governing employee, visitor, and contractor activity.

SUBSTITUTION OF EDUCATION FOR EXPERIENCE: Applicants may substitute the following education for the required experience, provided the education demonstrates the knowledge, skills and abilities necessary to do the work of the position:
