This vacancy announcement is for a Dual-Status Technician position which requires active membership in the New Jersey National Guard (uniformed military service). Official appointment is not effective until membership within the New Jersey National Guard is confirmed by the gaining Human Resources Office.
As an AVIATION RESOURCE MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST, GS-0301-9, you will:
Provide preflight briefings to military aircrews, reviews and evaluates proposed flight plans reviews and evaluates aircrew currencies and orders
Provide preflight briefings to military and civilian aircrews, reviews and evaluates proposed flight plans
Perform the testing, and evaluation of new ARMS patches, updates, or releases and performs the Installation of ARMS on computers for new users or on replacement equipment
Control and monitor the resource and training requirements of assigned rated and non-rated aircrew for mission accomplishment and safety of flight
Work independently to provide aircrew with information and assistance for planning and conducting safe flight operations
Compatible military grade and assignment required prior to the effective date of placement. This is an excepted service position that requires membership in a compatible military assignment in the employing state's National Guard. Applicants who are not currently a member of the National Guard must be eligible for immediate membership. Pre and post auditing of freight bills, bills of lading, and personnel transportation vouchers.
Coordinating and negotiating with organizations/personnel both orally and in writing to resolve differences/problems.
