Summary

You will install, modify, repair, maintain, troubleshoot, tests, and load new and existing electrical lines, circuit, systems, controls and equipment associated with aircraft launch and recovery systems equipment.
You will provide guidance to shop personnel and assist in the training of personnel as it pertains to typically performed duties of the job.
You will install wiring, couplings, conduit, relays, fixtures, transformers and other electrical devices including electrical service entrances.
You will use a variety of test instruments.
You will provide assistance in troubleshooting mal-functioning circuity and equipment.
Must be determined suitable for federal employment.

Must be able to work long hours under adverse conditions. Frequent overtime will be required. Multiple shift assignments may be required while in the field.

The Screen-out Element for this position is: ABILITY TO DO THE WORK OF an ELECTRICIAN, WG-2805-10 without more than normal supervision such as:
Using and operating hand tools, precision measuring equipment, electrical tools and test equipment, wiring and pressurized systems;
Performing and assisting with jobs normally assigned to other trades including pipefitting, mechanics, welding, rigging and machining.
Interpreting electrical diagrams, schematics, blueprints and drawings.
Installing, troubleshooting, repairing and modifying electrical circuitry and equipment utilizing applicable instructions.
Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., professional, philanthropic, religious, spiritual, community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment.
