The Fort Collins Science Center (FORT) is home to over 60 scientists who develop and disseminate research-based information and tools needed to understand the nation's biological resources in support of the U.S. Department of the Interior's resource management bureaus as well as other Federal and State agencies, Native American Tribes, academic institutions, and non-governmental organizations. FORT is looking for a Science Synthesis and Data Visualization student volunteer to assist the Center with the development of science synthesis products for stakeholders interested in learning about or using center science.

Throughout the semester, the student would ideally work on a single, visually compelling science synthesis product, for example using ArcGIS StoryMaps, to help deliver complex research to our partners. The exact nature of that product will be decided based on the students' needs and goals, but all products will center on high-priority, mission-aligned science within the Department of Interior.
