Summary

Collaborates with budget, finance and procurement personnel to obtain approvals and accounting citations, for timely generation of purchase orders.
Processes all transactions and documentation requirements for manufacturing material production requirements.
Researches material purchase requirements on Technical Data Packages (TDPs) and Bill of Materials (BOMs).
Reports material status issues such as recurring asset visibility, forecast requirements, quality of materials, fit form and function results from vendors, or other problems, issues and delays to the supervisor.
Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
Incumbent must meet all requirements for data analytics level 2 certification within 12 months of being placed on the position.
This position requires 5% TDY
Term appointment not to exceed 2 years, but may be extended up to 8.
Position can not be made permanent.

Qualifications

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes(1) Using supply/inventory management systems such as Logistics Modernization Program (LMP); (2) Prioritizing the acquisition of inventory/material purchases; and (3) Conducting research on material purchase requirements or inventory. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-07).

Education: Master's or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position.

Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the first year (total graduate semester hours minus 18) by 18. Add the two percentages.
