You will develop and deliver nutrition education related to supplementation that complies with the Department of Defense (DoD) dietary supplement program.
You will develop and deliver nutrition education presentations, demonstrations, or events on topics related to nutrition for performance that occur inside and outside of the performance center.
You will develop and teach non-clinical nutrition education and cooking classes for optimal performance of families, staff, and other authorized users.
You will create performance-based digital and educational content such as articles, social media messages, webinars.
You will assess and analyze dietary practices, body composition, and energy intake and expenditures of Marine athletes in the context of operational performance and health.
You will implement standardized nutrition education with a focus on optimal nutrition recovery from illness or injury and ensure Semper Fit protocols are followed.
Must be determined suitable for federal employment.

Qualifications
Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector planning, coordinating and delivering services focused on nutrition and weight management preventative and intervention services.
Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., professional, philanthropic, religious, spiritual, community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment.
Education
Applicants must meet one of the following basic education requirements of the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualifications Standards Manual:
Completion of a coordinated undergraduate program, internship, or other clinical component approved by AND (formerly ADA) for dietitians or nutritionists.
Professional registration as a Registered Dietitian (RD) or Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN).
In lieu of specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience:
3 years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to a Ph.D. degree
or
Ph.D.
or
equivalent doctoral degree
