Duties

Help
  • You will plan, organize and perform work required to ensure proper customer service and compliance with appropriate mandates of the Marine Corps Housing Office policies and procedures.
  • You will review Public Private Venture (PPV) PM­ provided maintenance records, validating compliance with the management plan.
  • You will independently validate Property Manager's performance in accordance with the criteria specified in the PPV Business Agreements.
  • You will evaluate management, maintenance, and operating costs and review statistical data.
  • You will develop information that includes current and past expenditures; and review and provide comments to the PPV PM annual housing operating budget.
  • You will act as a liaison with military families, command personnel and staff ensuring personnel are assisted with repair or maintenance concerns.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Knowledge of agency management procedures and general business principles and practices related to the management of PPV housing facilities. Knowledge of the fundamental principles, methodology, and techniques related to the scheduling, coordinating, operation and efficient utilization of PPV housing and facilities. Knowledge of the Housing program provisions, efficient operation and utilization of PPV, and other personnel support functions. Knowledge of Housing software systems used to maintain occupancy history records that include property account information, occupancy records, furnishings inventory, inspection records and condition reports and records of unusual incidents. Knowledge of the Privacy Act so that these records are in conformance. Ability to brief various levels of officials, tenants and contractors, both orally and in
writing, on PPV issues. Skill in preparing reports and point papers that include information relative to data collection, analysis, and recommendations for action. Skill in oral and written communication to prepare and present recommendations and solutions regarding PPV issues based on analysis and evaluation. Practical knowledge in the application of budget and funds management principles, skill in the concepts and methodology in assignments involving the range of housing budget activities, and skill in analyzing operations and maintenance expenditures in determining short-range requirements. Knowledge of housing facility inspection procedures and maintenance requirements identifying maintenance deficiencies. Ability to meet with individuals and groups to conduct check-in and termination inspections, mediate disputes, and negotiate the repair of maintenance deficiencies.

Education

You may also meet the minimum qualifications through one of the following:

Master's or equivalent graduate degree
OR
2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree
OR
LL.B. or J.D., if related
OR
Have a combination of specialized experience and education that equates to one year of experience. Your percentage of the required education plus your percentage of the required experience equal 100 percent.

This position is subject to work an uncommon tour, including nights, weekends, and holidays to meet mission requirements. Overtime or night differential pay and/or unusual duty hours may be required.

This position requires evening and weekend work.

This position is eligible for part time, full time or ad-hoc telework at the discretion of management.

May be required to work overtime.
