Help
  • You will assist HR Specialist in preparing, reviewing and submitting Request for Personnel Action (RPAs) using DCPDS to ensure accuracy and completeness; resolve discrepancies and complete missing information.
  • You will assist with On-Boarding process of new appointments. Prepare new employee orientation packages; assist with NEO in-briefs and ensure in-processing forms are completed.
  • You will use automated data processing equipment and related software to prepare a variety of correspondence, memorandums, form, and other documents, to include technical reports dealing with strength reports.
  • You will provide basic program information and support regarding standard processing procedures and requirements related to the staffing program.

Qualifications

GS-06: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-05 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Providing support services to the Human Resources Director (HRD) and Human Resources Specialist in the areas of Staffing/Recruitment, Position Management/classification, Labor and Employee Relations, and Performance Management as needed.

GS-05: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-04 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Providing administrative assistance to support a Human Resources Office, including data processing; preparing correspondence, memorandums, forms, and reports; maintaining files and databases; and general office duties (e.g. greeting guests, answering telephones, receiving and distributing mail, etc.).

This position requires the ability to type at least 40 words per minute. Your response to the typing skill question on the Occupational Questionnaire will be used in your qualification determination.

Education

Successfully completed four years of education above high school level
OR
Possess a combination of experience and education as described above that equates to one year of experience. My percentage of the required education plus my percentage of the required experience equal one hundred percent.
