Duties

Help
  • Incumbent works independently when cleaning and inspecting video recording equipment.
  • Receives general supervision guidance concerning military Basic Combat Training (BCT) and Operations in support of Family and Morale, Welfare and Recreation (FMWR) mission requirements.
  • Incumbent selects, interprets, and applies guidelines. Supervisor provides additional instructions regarding procedures, equipment, and technique
  • Shoots footage of BCT and/or military operations events. Assists in the duplication of BCT and graduation production.
  • Works closely with military organization leadership or designated personnel to ensure filming of BCT and/or military events are recorded in accordance with organization's concept of operations.
  • Conducts product analyses to determine customers' needs to ensure the quality of filming meets customer satisfaction.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Resumes must be two pages (or less). Resumes should clearly demonstrate the applicant's relevant experience, skills, knowledge and abilities as they pertain to this position.

Possess a bachelor's degree or higher with a concentration of 24 semester hours in video production, digital media, media production, digital film, or related field.
OR
Three years of general work experience of which one year must have been equivalent to the next lower grade. In addition to the three years of general experience, must possess knowledge and experience performing the below tasks.

1. Determines what camera and equipment is necessary for filming.

2. Transports, sets up, and operates various production equipment including cameras, audio and video recorders, lighting equipment, props, and microphones for location and studio production

In additions to the above education or work experience, applicants must be able to perform the follow tasks listed below.

1. Must be able to stand, walk, stoop, lift, carrying, and load and unload equipment weighing up to 35 pounds.

2. Must be able to endure long periods of repetitious work in a sitting or standing position.

3. May be required to work at a rapid pace for long periods of time.
