All candidates who are:
Current or former federal employees qualifying as Status Candidates, VEOA eligibles, CTAP/ICTAP eligibles, eligible for special hiring authorities (e.g., the Schedule A appointment for persons with disabilities, or covered by an Interchange Agreement), or VRA eligibles or Land Management employees eligible under Public Law 114-47.
Oversee all activities in the Ceramics Studio, Woodshop, Multi-craft rooms, Art Colony, Sewing Room.
Teach a variety of classes to the Independent Living, Independent Living Plus, Assisted Living residents, and Long-Term Care residents outside of the Ceramics Studio.
Conduct weekly safety inspections of all areas of responsibility.
Plan field trips with residents to a facility/fair as requested by residents to purchase supplies as needed.

Qualifications
You must meet the following requirements within 30 days of the closing date of this announcement. The experience may have been gained in either the public, private sector or volunteer service. One year of experience refers to full-time work; part-time work is considered on a prorated basis. To ensure full credit for your work experience, please indicate dates of employment by month/day/year, and indicate number of hours worked per week on your résumé.
Specialized Experience for the GS-07: You must have one year of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-05 grade level in the Federal service. Specialized experience for this position includes:
- Planning, supervising, administering, or carrying out an educational, recreational, cultural, or other art program such as art festivals, competitions, or workshops; AND
- Performing as an artist;OR
- Demonstrating the methods and techniques of one or more art forms such as graphics, sculpture, pottery and ceramics, or metalwork and jewelry.
You may substitute education for specialized experience as follows: 1 academic year of graduate level education with a major study in the fine or applied arts (18 semesters or 27 quarters)
OR
Bachelor's degree with Superior Academic Achievement with a major study of the fine or applied arts.

CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT:
