Duties

Help
  • You will perform account maintenance and accounting support work such as reviewing key supporting documentation (KSD) for funding document request packages, conducting research and retrieving KSDs to clear suspended transactions.
  • You will monitor and reconcile assigned accounts on a timely manner, and conduct root cause analysis of accounting errors.
  • You will perform execution of both prior and current year funds, monitoring the status of funds, clearing unmatched transactions, and conducting Dormant Account Quarterly reviews.
  • You will use standard office equipment including Microsoft Office suite of applications to perform your duties, both in office and virtual environments.

  • This is a Financial Management Level 1 certified position per the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) 2012, Section 1599d. You must achieve this level within prescribed timelines. Certification requirements are in DoD Instruction 1300.26.
  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.

Qualifications

GS-09: Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-08 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the ability to use Microsoft Office Suite of applications, specifically Excel and Word to articulate responses to tasks; ability to independently research policy and regulations and apply information for decision making.

GS-07: Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-06 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the ability to use Microsoft Office Suite of applications, specifically Excel and Word to articulate responses to tasks; ability to independently research policy and regulations and apply information for decision making.

Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., professional, philanthropic, religious, spiritual, community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment.
