Duties

Help
  • Assist in the management and accountability of assigned property and performs a wide variety of supply clerical functions to include the requisition, receipt, storage, issue, and transfer of property items.
  • Complies with procedures for maintaining property transaction records, and participates in the conduct of inventories for property accountability.
  • Coordinates all supply requirements for activities serviced (i.e. GSA Supply / Stock Fund) to include any required liaison requirements with agencies such as the Defense Contracting Command.
  • Moves and / or carries furniture and equipment on a regular basis using lifting / moving devices. Some heavy lifting is involved w/o assistance.
  • Utilizes automated data processing systems to fully automate processes involved with supply and acquisition. Ensures that program goals are met by guarding against and reducing fraud, waste and abuse.

  • Meet qualification/eligibility/background requirements for this position.
  • A one-year probationary period may be required.
  • Must be willing and able to work evenings, weekends, and Special MWR events.
  • This position has an occasional driving requirement in support of the activity. Must be willing to obtain and maintain both a valid USAREUR driver's license and a TMP license.
  • This position may require a health screening due to the lifting requirement of 50 lbs. Immunizations may be required as a condition of employment for the health and safety of those in the facility.
  • Must be willing and able to assist in the movement of furniture and equipment through the use of dollies or hand trucks.
  • Must have the ability to operate a forklift up to 5.5 tons.
  • Must have the ability to operate a 7.49 ton manual transmission truck with a trailer.
  • Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a class 2 drivers license.

Qualifications

A qualified candidate must possess the following:

  1. Knowledge of appropriate references guides, supply manuals, and other publications in order to identify and classify items to the appropriate Federal Supply Class or subclass.
  2. Knowledge of automated systems to apply instructions for supply actions such as data entry, reports retrieval, search of specific records and error corrections.
  3. Demonstrated knowledge, skills and ability must have been equivalent to at least the next lower grade level.
  4. Must have the ability to research and analyze material and the ability to communicate orally

In addition to the above qualifications, candidates who possess the following qualifications will be considered "Highly Preferred" or "Best Qualified":
  • Possess a minimum of one (1) year experience with NAF or APF property controls to include experience with hand receipts and property disposal thru authorized channels.

  • This job is part of a pay-banded system. Sunday premium pay for regularly scheduled employees and night differential pay may be authorized by the Garrison Commander.
  • Foreign overseas allowances, cost of living (COLA), incentives and differentials will not be paid, with the exception of post allowance, contingent upon eligibility.
