This position is open to current military members of the Active-Duty Army, Army Reserves and Army National Guard (to include the Wisconsin Army National Guard) that are eligible to enlist in the Wisconsin Army National Guard.
As a ELECTRONIC INTEGRATED SYSTEMS MECHANIC-T32, WG-2610-12, you will to perform work involved in installing, troubleshooting, repairing, modifying, calibrating, aligning, and maintaining the complete electronic integrated systems on Army National Guard helicopters..
Major Duties:
1. Performs operational checks, inspections, tests and troubleshooting on electronic integrated systems composed of a number of sensor subsystems.
2. Completes operational checks, inspections, tests and troubleshooting of Line Replaceable Units (LRU). Isolates unusual malfunctions using technical manuals, schematics, and wiring diagrams, tools and test equipment including automatic test equipment. Solves problems by analyzing installation, circuitry, and operating characteristics of the systems. Adjusts and aligns sensors, transmitters, amplifiers, power supplies, display devices, controls, actuators, servos, computers and other related components.
3. Completes bench check, testing, repair, inspection, modification, programming, reprogramming, mating, adjusting, alignment, and analyzing of LRUs and shop replaceable units. Uses a variety of test equipment such as automatic test equipment (ATE), oscilloscopes, DTA computer, multi-meters, power-meters, and special purpose bench test sets. Tests and troubleshoots solid state electronic assemblies and subassemblies such as circuit cards, modules, rate gyros, electronic control amplifiers, electro-mechanical assemblies, random access memories, programmable read-only memories and various integrated circuits.
4. Guides lower level mechanics in the performance of duties. Conducts on-the-job training on assigned systems and related support equipment and tasks.
5. Processes and accounts for due-in supply assets.
6. Prepares for and participates in various types of readiness evaluations such as Operational Readiness Evaluations (ORE), Command Logistics Readiness Inspections (CLRT-X), and Aviation Resource Management Surveys.
Compatible military grade and assignment required prior to the effective date of placement. This is an excepted service position that requires membership in a compatible military assignment in the employing state's National Guard. Qualifications
GENERAL EXPERIENCE: The following seven basic qualification factors are applicable to the FWS ANG Dual Status Technician positions:
Skilled in collecting and analyzing data effectively, efficiently, and accurately

Skilled in duties such as, install, modify, overhaul, maintain, troubleshoot, repair, align, calibrate, and rebuild multi-system avionics complexes
Ability to format and write English in reports and presentation formats

Skilled in training, mentoring, leading, and problem-solving
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: To qualify for the WG-2610-12 level, you must possess 18 months of the craftsman level of knowledge and skills to install, modify, overhaul, maintain, troubleshoot, repair, align, and calibrate multi-system avionics. Experiences included the ability and skills to perform on-or off-equipment maintenance on one or more complete electronic integrated systems associated with the assigned aircraft and/or maintenance on systems such as, automatic flight control systems, instrument systems, inertial and radar navigation systems. Experienced in performing scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on one or more multi-complex electronic integrated systems. Experiences included completing operational checks, inspections, tests, trouble shooting, removal and replacement of line-replaceable-units which are linked with integrated systems and line-replaceable-units which are independent or associated with nonintegrated systems. Must have skilled capabilities of isolating unusual malfunctions using technical orders, schematics, wiring diagrams, tools, and test equipment including automatic test equipment and flight line test systems. Skilled in solving complex problems by analyzing installation, circuitry, and operating characteristics of the systems. Experiences in system sensors, transmitters, amplifiers, power supplies, display devices, controls, transponders, actuators, servos, computers and other related components. Skilled in the installation of serviceable components into aircraft and performed total systems alignment and harmonization in accordance with existing technical orders and directives. Experienced and skilled in completing technical order compliances, completing component and system modifications, and performing thorough system checks for correct operations. Skilled in maintaining, modifying, calibrating, and inspecting a wide variety of user test, measurement, and diagnostic equipment. Experienced in performing installations, modifications, overhauling, maintaining, troubleshooting, repairing, aligning, and calibrating complete electronic avionics multi-system controls Must have a thorough working knowledge of complex aircraft avionics or electronic circuit maintenance systems such as, the electronics package in highly automated aircraft where the integrated flight and integrated countermeasures system, electronic multiplex communications bus, inertial navigation system, multi-function displays, data transfer equipment, global positioning system, flight control system, pitot-static system and related instrumentation, flight director instrumentation, air data computer, engine, hydraulic and fuel quantity indicating systems, interphone systems, HF/UHF/VHF radio communications, SATCOM, data link, secure voice communications, identification friend or foe, and tactical air navigation system. Experienced in evaluating operational characteristics of the integrated systems by observing and analyzing waveforms, voltage, current, power indications, computer registers and printouts. Skilled in analyzing the malfunctions encountered through fault codes, determining repair sequence process and performing required repairs. Experiences involved reviewing and analyzing maintenance data; determines if criteria are sufficient to provide adequate test, troubleshooting and repair procedures; devises and recommends tests, procedural changes, or data corrections. Skilled in performing alignments, adjustments, and conducting final calibrations on integrated systems to determine successful repairs. Experienced in monitoring the operations of complex, inter-related systems, analyzing operating trends, and proposing preventative maintenance down time. Skilled in the applications of technical data and equipment specifications that determine the impact equipment modifications or substitutions on integrated multi-system operations and various maintenance alignment procedures.
