Duties

Help
  • You will create performance-based programs which include modalities such as strength, power, speed, agility, aerobic and anaerobic training and recovery, utilize athlete management software to program, periodize and track performance.
  • You will work for Marine Corps units, Marine athletes, and individual Marines and provide pre-designed strength and conditioning programs for family members that align with Marine Corps policies and MCTF strategy.
  • You will actively coach and provide physical instruction, assessments, and demonstrations and you will provide standardized strength and conditioning education and training developed by Headquarters Semper Fit.
  • You will develop unit- and individual specific, sport-specific, and structured periodized training programs for Marines and work as part of a larger unit or team such as WARR and MCTF providers.
  • You will deliver sessions or classes at various locations such as where units reside, on sports fields, in performance centers, and in classrooms.
  • You will develop physical performance programs and consultations for family members and authorized patrons who require sport or individualized programming.
  • You will provide support to other performance-based programs such installation community-based programs.

Qualifications

GS-11

Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year equivalent to at least GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Assisting with or administering strength, conditioning, and physical performance training programs. - Coaching individuals or groups on proper lifting techniques, conditioning drills, and movement mechanics. - Assisting in conducting physical fitness testing and recording performance data. Designing, implementing, and instructing periodized strength, conditioning, and human performance programs. - Conducting physical fitness/performance assessments (e.g., strength, power, agility, aerobic capacity) and interpreting results to modify training

Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree

OR

3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree

OR

LL.M., if related

A combination of experience and graduate education as described above that equates to one year of experience.

To receive credit for Education, you must provide documentation of proof that you meet the Education requirements for this position. All academic degrees and coursework must be from accredited institutions.
