As a Senior Advisor, you will:

- Conduct comprehensive analysis of current and proposed policy and strategic plans to evaluate their potential impact on agency programs, operations, and relationships.
- Research and analyze external factors influencing the agency programs and operations to provide critical information; recommend new strategic approaches, and drive improvements in management of administration of programs and resources.
- Leads Coordinates the execution of major studies and evaluations to assess
agency's needs, measure strategic goal attainment, and provide data-driven inputs for to long-range strategic planning.
- Lead collaborative, cross-functional studies with program and office officials to investigate complex operational issues, identify root causes, and develop alternative or corrective solutions.
- Foster and maintain productive external partnerships, proactively exploring new joint initiatives and mutually beneficial opportunities for the agency.
- Prepare and review communications, including high-level correspondence, presentations, briefings, and critical administrative materials.

The experience may have been gained in either the public, private sector or volunteer service. One year of experience refers to full-time work; part-time work is considered on a prorated basis.   • A one year SL supervisory or managerial probationary period may be required.

  • TQ 1: Demonstrated mastery of qualitative and quantitative analytical approaches used to serve as a principal advisor to top executive leadership on complex, cross-cutting strategic initiatives. This includes the ability to evaluate the effectiveness of broad agency programs, identify areas of deficiency, and provide data-driven counsel to formulate enterprise-wide policies that accommodate shifts in legal, historical, political, social, and economic factors impacting the management of government information.
  • TQ 2: Demonstrated advanced skill in establishing, maintaining, and managing mutually beneficial, collaborative partnerships with high-level external stakeholders-including key government officials, academic communities, media, and leaders in the historical and archival professions. This includes the ability to serve as the agency head's proxy, direct strategic communications, and leverage these external relationships to advance the overarching programs and mission of the institution.
