If you are seeking a promotion to an ICE GS-1805-15 Supervisory Investigative Analyst (Supervisory Criminal Analyst) position, but are not a current, permanent ICE GS-1805-15 Supervisory Criminal Analyst, you should apply to this announcement. Positions: Supervisory Investigative Analyst (Chief Intelligence Officer), Supervisory Investigative Analyst (Division Chief), and Supervisory Investigative Analyst (Unit Chief). Selections will be based on the needs of the agency and availability of positions and funding. Some positions will require a Top Secret security clearance while others will require a Top Secret (SCI) secret clearance.

As a Supervisory Investigative Analyst (Supervisory Criminal Analyst), you will perform the following duties:

  • Lead the production and dissemination of timely, comprehensive, and accurate criminal intelligence analysis (criminal analysis) that enables criminal investigators to identify, prioritize, investigate, disrupt, and dismantle terrorist, transnational, and other criminal organizations that threaten or seek to exploit the customs and immigration laws of the United States.
  • Lead units, divisions, and teams as they analyze and report on criminals, criminal conspiracies and criminal networks, inform criminal investigative decisions, support law enforcement operations, and contribute to strategies to protect the homeland from criminals exploiting the customs and immigration laws of the United States.
  • Ensure Supervisory Criminal Analysts are indoctrinated and trained in the Framework and lead efforts to ensure that Supervisory Criminal Analysts properly train Criminal Analysts in the Framework.
  • Lead and develop efforts to ensure the Framework's tradecraft, methodologies and structured analytic techniques effectively support criminal investigations with comprehensive knowledge of criminals and their conspiracies, networks, modus operandi, and impacts.

To qualify at the GS-15 grade level:

Experience: One (1) year of specialized experience at the GS-14 grade level or equivalent performing the following duties:

  • Supervising the production and dissemination of comprehensive criminal analyses that enable criminal investigators to identify, prioritize, investigate, disrupt, and dismantle criminal organizations within a programmatic or geographic area of responsibility;
  • Setting priorities, determining requirements, allocating resources, anticipating obstacles and opportunities to leverage and integrate criminal analysis, collection, production, and dissemination;
  • Reviewing strategies, concepts of operations, and operational plans to provide recommendations for including analytical results, initiatives, efforts, or capabilities, and outcomes;
  • Supervising, applying, teaching, and enhancing the HSI Framework for Criminal Analysis to effectively support criminal investigations and drive criminal investigative priorities; and
  • Developing and promoting improvements to the Framework in the form of best practices, new methodologies, and enhanced structured analytical techniques.

  • Candidates will be notified of requirements to interview in July 2026 and interviews will be conducted in July and August 2026.
  • Results of the Pre-Certification Structured Interview will be used to identify the best qualified candidates.
