As a Correspondence Analyst, GS-0301-13, your typical work assignments may include:
Researches, develops, and checks the accuracy of information from a wide-range of sources regarding policy objectives.
Consolidates comments from senior-level leadership, de-conflicts contending positions, discern key priorities, and propose alternative language to bring various staff members to a consensus opinion consistent with the USM's strategic goals.
Determines appropriateness of the materials and develops written responses determining the organization of the final document or presentation.
Monitors controlled materials and provides information for a report on the status of products, especially overdue correspondence, on a daily basis or as requested.

Qualifications
Specialized Experience:
You qualify for the GS-13 grade level if you possess one year of specialized experience, equivalent to the GS-12 grade level in the Federal government, performing duties such as:
Independently analyzing and coordinating responses to complex information requests.
Consolidating and editing feedback from senior officials across several business lines.3
Analyzing, interpreting, and integrating information into a variety of formats such as tables, databases, and spreadsheets. AND
Communicating effectively both orally and in writing with various audiences on issues that are often complex or controversial.
Substitution of education in lieu of specialized experience may not be used for this grade level.
