Duties

Help

You will:

  • Serve as senior budget officer, lead long-term budget strategy, shape policies on budget formulation and strategic planning, and establish plans and courses of action.
  • Exercise independent oversight of national program level budgets, interpret guidelines, and prepare briefing materials for the Office of Management and Budget and Congressional budget hearings.
  • Lead the development and execution of organizational operating plan, collaborate with staff and peers to ensure a shared understanding of program direction and its implications for international and Tribal programs.
  • Advise on the development of workplans and strategic objectives, train/develop funds control officials, represent organization in meetings related to budgetary and financial responsibilities.

This position is designated as High Risk and requires a background investigation. Unless an appropriate background investigation is already on record with the Office of Personnel Management, you must undergo a background investigation. Qualifications

NOTE: You must meet qualification requirements by the closing date of this announcement.

To qualify for the GS-15 level, you need to have at least one year of full-time experience equivalent to the GS-14 level defined as participating in the coordination of budget formulation plans and/or justifications; providing recommendations/advice/briefings related to budget regulatory guidance and policies; collaborating on the development or implementation of strategic plans; and/or managing budget execution and funds control, measuring/reporting results.
