Duties

Help

Incumbent applies broad experience and advanced technical knowledge to develop new or innovative concepts and approaches to systems. programs. and policies for broad and challenging work activities. Evaluates the functional status of systems and facilities. Oversees the logistics portion of construction/installation projects by working with the contracting officer on contractual issues. 

Coordinate construction/installation activities with project engineers and Contractor on-site Representative (COR). Coordinates activities with stakeholders, provides project status updates, coordinates with other organizations and agencies, contractors. Provides technical advice/ direction to lower graded field personnel, in addition to being the work order carrier to plan and help resolve design problems, construction delays and concerns with construction or installation work. Identifies resources needed to perform assignments. Works with the project 
engineers/technicians to help schedule project construction phases accordingly based on priorities and available field resources. Contacts are both internal and external. Interacts with managers and employees within Engineering Services and other FAA organizations. 

Performs work requiring challenging technical activities assisting with analyzing, designing, modifying, developing, installing, repairing, fabricating, maintaining, or evaluating the most complex systems for which the FAA is responsible. Provides guidance to lower graded technicians regarding difficult or operational issues. Applies experience and advanced technical knowledge of assigned disciplines to assist with developing new concepts, systems, or innovative approaches and to identify and resolve complex issues that may cross organizational boundaries.

Qualifications

To qualify for this position, you must demonstrate in your application that you possess at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to Pay Band FV-G/Level II. Specialized experience is experience that has equipped you with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform successfully the duties of the position.

Specialized experience may include but is not limited to: Experience includes coordinating construction/installation activities with engineers. Works with others to help resolve construction delays and concerns with construction or installation work.
