Duties

Help
  • You will administer the Access Control and Badging system and ensure in compliance with command, DON and DOD policy and directives.
  • You will execute personnel security policy and provide program oversight and execution of PACFLT badging equipment to ensure systems are operating.
  • You will create specific reports for use in investigations.
  • You will ensure Access Control System is maintained and ensure documentation is retained for review and inspection.
  • You will attend exercise planning conferences to understand requirements and inject Security policy and mitigations into the planning phase.
  • You will manage the Access Control office budget and coordinate ordering of supplies.

  • Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or fail the test. You will be subject to random testing.
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
  • This position is considered Key/Emergency-Essential. You will be required to provide immediate and continuing support to ensure the success of combat operations or the availability of combat-essential systems.
  • MSP/PPP applicants must currently hold the required security clearance.
  • You will be required to obtain and maintain Department of Defense (DoD) Security Professional Educational Development (SPeD) certification within 24 months of assuming the position.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate ability in determining eligibility to grant security clearances to access sensitive information in the presence of minor derogatory information in accordance with Personnel and Physical Security rules, policies, procedures, concepts, and operations.

This position is subject to work an uncommon tour, including nights, weekends, and holidays to meet mission requirements. Overtime or night differential pay and/or unusual duty hours may be required.
