Duties

  • Provide direct leadership to subordinates.

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • Three year trial/probationary period may be required.
  • The incumbent must be able to obtain and maintain a TOP SECRET SCI clearance as a condition of employment and must complete a counterintelligence scope polygraph exam.
  • This is a Drug Testing Designated Position. This position is covered by the Alcohol and Drug Abuse Prevention and Control Program. The incumbent is required to sign a DA Form 5019-R.
  • Must pass urinalysis testing, as required, prior to appointment, reassignment, or transfer and periodically thereafter.
  • The incumbent must meet NSA personnel security requirements outlined in NSA/CSS Policy 5-1.
  • Work may occasionally require travel away from the normal duty station on military and/or commercial aircraft.
  • The incumbent may be recalled to duty, may be required to work other than normal duty hours, which may include evenings, weekends, and/or holidays, and may be required to work overtime.
  • TDY travel may be required up to 10% of the time.
  • A one year probation to assess your ability to perform supervisory duties is required unless previously completed.

This position is in the Supervision/Management Work Category at the Expert Work Level within the CES Occupational Structure.

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Applicant must have one year of directly applicable experience that demonstrates the possession of knowledge, skills, abilities, and competencies necessary for immediate success in the position. Qualifying experience may have been acquired in any public or private sector job but will clearly demonstrate past experience in the application of the particular competencies or knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to successfully perform the duties of the position. Such experience is typically in or directly related to the work of the position to be filled. Qualifying experience would be demonstrated by 1.)Evaluating organizational performance metrics to inform leadership decision-making; 2.) Facilitating stakeholder engagement to assess program success and performance; 3.) Engaging with command to facilitate resource support and resolve operational obstacles; 4.) Preparing and presenting executive-level briefings and communications; and 5.) Balancing workload management with continuous improvement initiatives.
