Duties

Help
  • Responsible for overall management and direction of Business and Revenue Generating operations at a DLA installation to include some or all of the following: Bowling, Bingo and other revenue generating operations.
  • Provides leadership, supervision, and guidance to ensure attainment of the established business performance objectives. Coordinates with other MWR Programs (i.e. CYS, Recreation) as required.
  • Directs, develops, and administers plans and procedures, and implements, enforces, and ensures compliance with regulations to provide business operations which meet the needs and interests of the assigned installation.
  • Prepares and presents briefings on MWR Programs as necessary and answers all requests for data pertaining to managed programs.
  • Performs the full range of supervisory functions/responsibilities for assigned activities. May supervise other support services functions as required and assigned.

  • -in accordance with DoD Directive 5500-7-R, Joint Ethics Regulation, dated 30 August 1993.

Qualifications

A qualified candidate must possess the following:

  • Must possess at least one year of work experience directing/managing one or more MWR Business Operations activities as listed above, or similar civilian operation.
  • Experience must show the full range of managerial and supervisory duties.

In addition to the above qualifications, candidates who possess the following qualifications will be considered "Highly Preferred" or "Best Qualified":
  • Possess a minimum of three (3) years of supervisory experience.
  • Possess a minimum of two (2) years of experience in business and revenue-generating operations.
  • Possess experience supervising more than seven (7) employees.

PCS Costs
  • Payment of Permanent Change of Station (PCS) costs are authorized based on a determination that a PCS move is in the Government's interest.
  • In accordance with the Joint Travel Regulations, most individuals will be authorized movement of Household Goods, Temporary Storage, and Air, POV, or Rail Transportation to your new duty station. In addition, some individuals may also be authorized Temporary Quarters Subsistence Expenses (TQSE).
Allowances and Differentials
  • This job is part of a pay-banded system. Sunday premium pay for regularly scheduled employees and night differential pay may be authorized by the Garrison Commander.
  • Non-foreign overseas allowances, cost of living (COLA), and differentials will not be paid.
