  • Recent Graduates and their supervisors must sign a Pathways Participant Agreement which outlines expectations for the internship prior to entrance on duty.

Qualifications

To be eligible for appointment, you must be a recent graduate who has completed, within the previous two years, a qualifying associate's, bachelor's, master's, professional, doctorate, vocational or technical degree, or certificate from a qualifying, accredited educational institution with a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher on a 4.0 scale. A valid certificate program is post-secondary education in a qualifying educational institution that is equivalent to at least one academic year of full-time study, as defined by your university. The certificate program must also be a part of an accredited college-level, technical, vocational, trade, or business school curriculum. AND

You qualify at the GS-07 level, if you meet one of the following qualification requirements:

A. You have completed one (1) full academic year of graduate level education, if related. OR

B. You meet one of the requirements for Superior Academic Achievement (SAA) based on a) graduating within the upper third of the graduating class in a college, university, or major subdivision such as the College of Liberal Arts or the School of Business Administration, based on completed courses; b) having a grade point average of 3.0 or higher out of a possible 4.0 as recorded on your official transcript, or as computed based on 4 years of education, or as computed based on courses completed during the final 2 years of the curriculum; or 3.5 or higher out of a possible 4.0 based on the average of the required courses completed in the major field or the required courses in the major field completed during the final 2 years of the curriculum; c) being elected for membership in a national scholastic honor society. Note: SAA must be based on a related curriculum that is qualifying for the position being filled. OR

C. You have at least one (1) year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-05 level in the Federal service obtained in either the private or public sector, performing the following types of tasks: providing support for program planning and analysis activities; using tracking and reporting systems; gathering and compiling data; using a computer to research information and prepare documents; and assisting in reviewing information and analysis of findings OR

D. You have a combination of post baccalaureate education that is related to the position and experience that meets 100% of the qualification requirements for this position.

You qualify at the GS-09 level, if you meet one of the following qualification requirements:

A. You have completed a master's or equivalent graduate degree, or 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree, if related OR

B. You have at least 1 year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-07 level in the Federal service obtained in either the private or public sector, performing the following types of tasks: assisting in the development and implementation of program practices and procedures; participating in administrative or management studies, such as analyzing data, developing formats to report the results of studies; and providing support for program planning and analysis activities utilizing integrated reporting systems OR

C. Youhave a combination of post baccalaureate education and experience that meets 100% of the qualification requirements for this position.

  • Successfully complete at least 1-year of continuous service in addition to all requirements of the Program.
  • Demonstrate successful job performance.

Education

You must submit a copy of your transcripts. Unofficial transcripts will be accepted in the application package; however, official transcripts will be required prior to receiving an official offer. The date that the degree was awarded or conferred must meet the program criteria at the time of application. Applicants must have graduated with a cumulative GPA of at least 3.0 on a 4.0 scale. We do not round the GPA.
