Help
  • Serve as a Program Manager on major Decennial or similar large-scale contracts and/or projects, utilizing program management techniques to oversee requirements such as budget, cost control and schedules.
  • Strategically plan, manage, and lead program operations and administrative activities.
  • Provide support through advice on long-term planning activities for all aspects of major projects including determining long-range objectives; projecting workloads and IT resource requirements; budget planning; and operational workflow.

Specialized Experience: For the GS-15, you must have one year of experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-14 in the Federal service. Experience for this position includes: Utilizing program management techniques to oversee requirements such as budget, cost control and schedules; Managing employees, assigning work, setting priorities, and evaluating performance; Representing a program on all technical and policy issues related to contract planning, awards, execution, administration and closeouts; and Overseeing large-scale information technology and business solution contracts to achieve this organizational mission in terms of scale and timing.

Education: cannot be substituted at this level.

Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer.
