You will serve as a Senior Cyber Operations Analyst in the N3 Division of NAVY INFO OPS CMD PENSACOLA. Serves as a senior intelligence and operational specialist performing intelligence analysis and providing assistance in overseeing analysis in support of cyberspace operations relative to broad fields of political, economic, social, cultural, physical, geographic, technical or military conditions for one or more foreign countries.

  • You will conduct research and analysis on Signal Intelligence (SIGINT) data with a focus on enabling cyberspace operations
  • You will develop products containing information related to indications and warning of emerging threats and vulnerabilities, incident response, and cyber threat analysis in accordance with governing policies and procedures.
  • You will perform analysis using digital network intelligence, researching vulnerabilities and exploits, providing technical information collected from a variety of capabilities to support cyber operational requirements.
  • You will prepare finished products, prepare and present briefings, and participate in meetings and conferences.

  • This position is subject to an initial drug screening, and random testing thereafter. A negative drug test result must be received by HR within 30 calendar days after the EOD (i.e., start date).
  • Inability to successfully pass or refusal to conduct the test may result in: 1) the tentative or FJO being withdrawn during the recruitment process; or 2) subsequently being removed from Federal service for failure to meet a condition of employment.
  • You may be required to sign a “Drug Test Statement of Understanding” if you are selected for this position.
  • This position may require a 2-year DCIPS trial period.
  • This position requires periodic polygraph examinations.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GG/GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Conducting research and analysis on Signal Intelligence (SIGINT) data with a focus on enabling cyberspace operations; 2) Perform analysis using digital network intelligence, researching vulnerabilities and exploits, providing technical information collected from a variety of capabilities to support cyber operational requirements; and, 3) Utilizing Digital Network Exploitation Analyst (DNEA) or Digital Network Analyst (DNA) work role experience as part of a Combat Mission Team (CMT) or Combat Support Team (CST).

This designation requires the incumbent to:

1. Obtain the foundational qualification within nine months and the residential qualification
within 12 months of appointment and maintain those credentials as described in DoDM 8140.03 for
DCWF work role(s) (Primary Work Role 132) and proficiency level(s) as documented on the coding sheet. For more information, please review DoDM 8140.03 and supporting DON policies.

2. Participate in continuous professional development program as described in DoDM 8140.03. An
annual 20 hour minimum of Cyber Workforce related continuous professional development must be documented and completed in a current individual development plan signed by both the employee and supervisor. Continuous professional development begins in the fiscal year after the employee has obtained both foundational and residential qualification requirements.

3. Acknowledge responsibilities in writing via command designation letter. Failure to meet a condition of employment may result in disciplinary and/or adverse action up to removal from federal service.
