Must be able to obtain and maintain a Top Secret security clearance based on a single scope background investigation (SSBI) with eligibility for Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI).
In accordance with Change 3 to AR 600-85, Alcohol and Drug Abuse Prevention and Control Program, employee must successfully pass a urinalysis screening
prior to appointment and periodically thereafter.
The employee will be required to successfully pass physical examinations as required by Federal and Office of Safety and Occupational Health Administration guides as a pre-employment condition and annually.
This position requires frequent heavy lifting in excess of 45 pounds.
May require uncommon tour of duty hours, working either fixed or rotating shift which may include evening, weekends, and holidays.
Appointment to this position is subject to a one-year probationary period unless the appointee has previously met the requirements as described in 5 CFR Part 315. While probationary the incumbent can be terminated with limited appeal rights.

Minimum Qualifications (Screen Out Element): Ability to do the work of a Maintenance Worker ~ without more than normal supervision. I have the ability to perform common duties such as washing and scrubbing bathroom floors, washing windows, walls and ceilings. I have experience in painting and a general knowledge and understanding of custodial tasks. I work under normal supervision of a work leader or journey-level employee who observes tasks in progress and upon completion to make sure they are properly performed. Failure to meet this Screen Out Element will result in an ineligible rating.
Physical Effort. The work of subject position requires extensive walking, standing, bending and stooping. The incumbent occasionally climbs ladders or uses lift devices to perform high cleaning and maintenance operations. Frequently lifts heavy objects, including items up to 100 pounds.
Working conditions. The incumbent is exposed to hazards of moving parts and sharp blades when working with power tools and exposed belts. The incumbent is exposed daily to harsh cleaning solutions and chemicals; wear of protective equipment and clothing is required.
