Analyze work schedules, determine manpower, tooling, material requirements, and methods used.
Plan, coordinate and direct related work or functions of subordinate employees using subordinate supervisor.
Review and analyze production, costs, and personnel utilization records to evaluate work progress and to control or reduce costs.
Serve as branch chief, providing second-level technical supervision over subordinate section in a maintenance production directorate.
Recommend promotion or reassignment of subordinate supervisors, make selection from referral registers, make formal appraisal of work performance, and determine training needs.
Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
Must obtain and maintain a Personnel Background Investigation (NACI).
You may be expected to travel 10% Temporary Duty Travel (TDY) for business purposes.
Must be able to obtain and maintain appropriate security clearance for access to Depot Production Computer System.
This position requires a successfully completion of the Civilian Education System Course and the Supervisory Development Course within 12 months of being assigned to the position.
This position is supervisory as defined by the Office of Personnel Management's (OPM) General Schedule Supervisory Guide (GSSG). A one-year probation to assess your ability to perform supervisory duties is required unless previously completed.
Appointment to this position is subject to a one year probationary period unless the appointee has previously met the requirements as described in 5 CFR Part 315. While probationary the incumbent can be terminated with limited appeal rights.
Temporary promotion may be made or extended up to a maximum of five years.
Time Limited Detail NTE may be made or extended at management discretion.
Position may be converted to permanent without further competition.

Completing repairs through applying theories such as electric or optical theory; performing standard troubleshooting techniques in order to perform troubleshooting analyses; and interpreting guides such as blueprints, sketches, manual, etc. - Failure to meet this Screen Out Element will result in an ineligible rating.
