Provides bulk laundry services for items such as sheets, towels, bath rugs, etc.
Operates commercial-type washers and dryers, ensuring proper loading.
Receives, counts, sorts, bundles, washes, dries, folds, and sorts linen, cleaning rags, and other laundry items.
Writes laundry receiving and issuance reports.
Inspects the quality, quantity, and types of items submitted for laundering.
Shakes out tangled, semi-dry items for flatwork ironing team or hand-feeding into automatic spreader.
Feeds items (e.g., sheets, towels) into flatwork ironer, holding them taut as the leading edge feeds into the pressure roll.
Uses ironer and automatic folder, along with a wrapping table, to finish linens and place them in carts for transport to the linen room.
Keeps track of received and issued items.
Maintains a clean and orderly work area.
Performs other related duties as assigned.
