  • This is a Mission Essential (ME) position performing a Mission Critical Function (MCF) which must continue uninterrupted after the occurrence of an emergency and continued through full resumption of all functions. IAW, DoDI 3020-42, Defense Continuity Programs.
  • Position is designated special-sensitive and requires a TOP SECRET (TS) security clearance with eligibility for access to Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI), other intelligence-related Special Sensitive information, or involvement in Top Secret Special Access Programs (SAP) to fully perform the duties and responsibilities of the position. A non-disclosure agreement must be signed. Employee must be able to obtain and maintain a Top-Secret w/SCI clearance.
  • This is a cybersecurity position; the employee will attain appropriate DoD approved cybersecurity baseline certificate(s) applicable for cybersecurity functions required for the DoD position held, within six months of filling position IAW DoD 8570.01-M.
  • Position performs non-manual work directly related to the management or general business operations of the employer or its customers, and job duties require exercise of discretion and independent judgment with respect to matters of significance. Position meets criteria for the Administrative Exemption as identified in 5 CFR § 551.206
In order to qualify, you must meet the specialized experience requirements described in the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualification Standards for General Schedule Positions, Administrative and Management Positions, 0301 Series.

SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Applicants must have at least one (1) year of specialized experience at the next lower broadband NH 02, equivalent to the next to lower grade GS-11 or equivalent in the Federal Service (may have been obtained in the federal service, military, or private sector). Specialized experience includes expert knowledge of cyber operations, space operations, and the operational information environment (OIE) principles and practices. Knowledge of joint, interagency, and international coordination processes.

For current Federal Employees within General Schedule Pay Plans- Federal Time-In-Grade (TIG) Requirement for General Schedule (GS) Positions: Applicants must have served at least 52 weeks at the GS-11 or higher grade (or equivalent in an alternate pay system) within the Federal Civil Service to be considered for referral.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSAs): Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the following areas:
  • Expert knowledge of cyber operations, space operations, and the operational information environment (OIE) principles and practices.
  • Knowledge of joint, interagency, and international coordination processes.
  • Skill to analyze complex operational environments and develop innovative solutions to address vulnerabilities, opportunities, and threats.
  • Skill to communicate complex information effectively to senior leadership and diverse stakeholders, building consensus and influencing decision-making.
  • Ability to lead and manage multidisciplinary teams in high-pressure environments, ensuring quality deliverables and mission success. Ability to anticipate emerging threats and adapt plans and processes to ensure operational readiness and mission accomplishment.

PART-TIME OR UNPAID EXPERIENCE: Credit will be given for appropriate unpaid and or part-time work. You must clearly identify the duties and responsibilities in each position held and the total number of hours per week.

VOLUNTEER WORK EXPERIENCE: Refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service Programs (i.e., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student and social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge and skills that can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
