Duties

Help

Responsible for oversight of the Warhawk Community Center (WHCC) programs. Plans develops and executes diversified, innovative, and needs-based social, cultural, and installation-wide special events, ensuring the events provide a quality experience in recreation, leisure, social & military functions that incorporates customer feedback/inputs and meets DAFI requirements. Completes after-action reports for each program conducted. Schedules and publicizes WHCC activities by making up daily, weekly, and monthly schedules of events. Arranges for purchasing or procuring supplies and services needed to accomplish scheduled WHCC activities. Work with Marketing to develop innovative marketing campaigns to increase participation and promote programs. Develops NAF and APF budgets for the WHCC as appropriate and maintains accountability over NAF and APF assets, including setting up maintenance schedules for all. Analyzes and reports the financial performance of both NAF and APF funds. Ensures revenues and expenditures are properly recorded and accounted for to provide reliable financial and statistical reports. Reviews and evaluates purchases of supplies and equipment using all required AF systems (SAIS/IBPS/Aloha/RecTrac) to ensure proper purchase, inventory, and accounting processes are used. Responsible for workforce management and staff training. Ensures employees follow adequate cleanliness for the facility, conducts training to subordinate employees in all areas, and ensures mandatory training requirements are met. Plans and directs work assignments set employee work schedules and approves leave and special pay requirements. Uses SETS to maintain employee time sheets. Evaluate performance and recommend awards. Identifies and resolves employee performance and discipline concerns. Works under the direct supervision of the Community Services Flight Chief. Performs other duties as assigned.

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if the position allows for qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application.

Qualifying Experience:
Knowledge of military MWR business operations, including supervising/managing a thriving community center operation, knowledge of business policies and procedures, and marketing techniques. Successful personnel management is required. Must possess skill in written and oral communication techniques to explain, justify, and present ideas and findings on various issues, as well as skill in planning, promoting, and administering programs to meet the community's needs. Ability to make decisions and work effectively under the pressure of timelines and rigid deadlines. Knowledge of budget, proper cash handling procedures, financial management, and internal controls to prepare, monitor, and revise budgets. Must possess skills in dealing with customers and the public. Must have a valid driver's license. Position of trust.
CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT: This is a Drug Tested Designated Position. Subject to an irregular tour of duty to include evenings, weekends, and Holidays. Must be able to obtain a Child National Agency Check with Inquiries satisfactorily. (T1+Childcare).

Education

FOREIGN EDUCATION: Education completed in foreign colleges or universities may be used to meet the requirements. You must show proof the education credentials have been deemed to be at least equivalent to that gained in conventional U.S. education program.
