Duties

Help
  • You will support the Access Control Supervisor in implementing the SWFLANT Access Control Program.
  • You will be responsible for the proper execution of the SWFLANT Entry Authorization List (EAL) Program.
  • You will create appropriate SOPs, training presentations, desk guides, and other required documentation for EAL and LA badge functions to ensure proper management of the EAL program.
  • You will conduct various internal audits and self-assessment of the EAL program.
  • You will validate access eligibility and approves visit requests and permanent badge applications for personnel requiring access to SWFLANT AOR.
  • You will create SOPs, training presentations, desk guides, and other required documentation to ensure proper swipe access system management.
  • You will maintain a good working relationship and liaisons with SUBASE, tenant command Security Managers, and personnel from various outside entities in order to ensure authorized access.
  • You will conduct various internal audits and self-assessment of the access control program.

  • Within the Department of Defense (DoD), the appointment of retired military members within 180 days immediately following retirement date to a civilian position is subject to the provisions of 5 United States Code 3326.

  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
  • Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or fail the test. You will be subject to random testing.
  • You will be required to obtain and maintain a Security Professional Education Development (SPeD) and Security Fundamentals Professional Certification (SFPC) within two years of the date of hire.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the NH-02 (GS-11 equivalent) grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Demonstrates comprehensive Access Control expertise, to include processing and verifying badge applications, reviewing and approving Entry Authorization Lists (EALs), and conducting audits or monitoring activities to ensure compliance with established security policies and procedures.

Local Commuting Area: The local commuting area for this position is defined as a radius of 50 miles from UIC 68733. This includes all locations that fall within a 50-mile driving distance from 1150 USS Los Angeles Road, Kings Bay, GA 31547-2634.

This position has been identified as a Defense Security Position (DSP) in accordance with Department of Defense (DoD) Manual 3305.13-M, "DoD Security Accreditation and Certification" and selectees will be required to meet the certification requirements of the Security Professional Education Development (SPeD) program. As such, the individual selected for this position must obtain and/or maintain a Security Fundamentals Professional Certification (SFPC) within 2 years of appointment.
