Duties

Help
  • Analyzes and evaluates program-level financial data to formulate, justify, and execute budgets for organizational missions.
  • Conducts detailed analyses of program operations, identifying significant deviations from objectives, and recommending corrective actions to management based on qualitative and quantitative findings.
  • Gathers and interprets complex data from various sources to prepare and present reports, briefings, and justifications on program performance, resource utilization, and cost-benefit outcomes.
  • Advises management and program officials on the interpretation and application of administrative policies, regulations, and procedures to ensure program objectives are met in a compliant and effective manner.
  • Serves as the first-line supervisor for Regulatory Administrative Technicians, planning and assigning work, establishing priorities, evaluating performance, recommending personnel actions, identifying training needs.

In order to qualify, you must meet the specialized experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-11 grade level in the Federal service. Specialized experience is defined as providing complex substantive management support services in the areas of program cost analysis, annual, multi-year, and long-range fiscal planning for the organization through the use of financial management tools including the financial management system and P2. Participates in the coordination, acquisition, allocation, and utilization of manpower, materials, and funding needed to accomplish assigned mission of the Regulatory program in an assigned geographical area. Responsible for analyzing, evaluating, formulating, and reviewing numerous regulatory standard operating procedures and to provide technical guidance on program statistics and budgeting for organization components of the Division including all branches, sections, special assistants, and field offices within the State of Georgia. Analyzes, reviews, and evaluates the operating programs of the assigned activities within the Division.

For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted.

Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-11).
