Duties

Help
  • Provide technical oversight for supply processes and procedures.
  • Responsible for material readiness, and other program stockage, warehouse function, and customer service.
  • Perform Pre-Award duties submitting valid supply requisitions.
  • Ensure effective access, stock and inventory controls are in place.
  • Accomplish periodic and on-site inspections involving physical inventory and inspection of property.
  • Verify card purchase and payments are compliance with regulatory guidance for the GPC Program.
  • Lead 3-5 General Supply Specialist GS 2001-9/11.
  • Distribute and balance workload among employees.
  • Ensure proper storage procedures are utilized to avoid damage, organizes and arranges items.

In order to qualify, you must meet the expereince requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience.

Your resume must describe at least one year specialized experience which prepared you to do the work in this job.
Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes work that involves experience performing a variety of technical supply management duties such as maintaining inventory control records; review and/or reconcile inventory authorizations. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service GS-11.

Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent GS-11.

Education

Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted.

  • The U.S. Army Yuma Proving Ground (YPG) is the Army's premier test center, featuring the longest overland artillery range in the nation. YPG conducts developmental testing on nearly every piece of equipment in the ground combat arsenal and is at the forefront of the Army's modernization efforts.
