Duties

Help
  • Performs marketing functional services under the general supervision of the Marketing Manager. Conducts Commercial Sponsorship and Advertising.
  • Duties include determining marketing techniques and strategies to increase efficiency, enhance participation, and community awareness of key Directorate of Family and Morale, Welfare and Recreation programs.
  • Keeps track of viable annual events for which to seek commercial sponsorship. Packages events, develops solicitation packet and solicits sponsorship from local sponsors.
  • Negotiates mutually beneficial sponsorship terms and executes all supporting documents. Attends events and serves as point of contact for sponsors at events.
  • Coordinates with the installation Staff Judge Advocate to ensure that terms of sponsorship are in accordance with all DA,IMCOM and local regulations and policies. Compile and provide After Action Reports. Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Resumes must be two pages (or less). Resumes should clearly demonstrate the applicant's relevant experience, skills, knowledge and abilities as they pertain to this position.

A qualified candidate must possess the following:

  • Demonstrated work experience in developing advertising programs and selling commercial advertising. Knowledge of Commercial Sponsorship &Advertising Practices.
  • Technical skills to effectively perform marketing and promotion using tools of the trade and social media. Ability to communicate both orally and in writing. Ability to establish a professional rapport with activity managers and sponsor representative of varying management levels.
In addition to the above qualifications, candidates who possess the following qualifications will be considered "Highly Preferred" or "Best Qualified":
  • One (1) year of professional experience in advertising, soliciting sponsorship, and/or another sales-related field.
Experience MUST be clearly reflected on your Resume at the time of application to be considered. Applicants meeting the Highly Preferred criteria will be referred first to the Selecting Official. All other applicants may be referred for consideration at managements request.

  • This job is part of a pay-banded system. Sunday premium pay for regularly scheduled employees and night differential pay may be authorized by the Garrison Commander.
  • Non-foreign overseas allowances, cost of living (COLA), and differentials will not be paid, contingent upon eligibility.
