Duties

  • As a senior Financial Systems Analyst, the incumbent ensures that government policy and regulations are fully supported in the design and development of assigned financial systems.
  • Investigates, analyzes, and determines the cost and impact of proposed changes or new subsystems.
  • Employee leads operational reviews for both internal and external audit agencies.
  • Analyst assists in the planning and development of assessment criteria and conditions for the testing phases.
  • Incumbent is responsible for planning, coordinating, and compiling complex financial data related to program and budget, procurement, financial management, auditing, and accounting procedures, concepts, and reporting.

Qualifications

One year of specialized experience equivalent in level of difficulty and responsibility to that of the next lower grade (GS-11) within the federal service, which demonstrates the ability to perform the duties of the position, is required.

Specialized Experience is defined as: experience applying auditing principles, techniques, policies and regulations with the objective of improving the information technology control environment of financial/accounting systems: identifying, documenting and recommending, improving systemic control environments of financial/accounting systems; conducting corrective actions and executing software test plans and System Change Requests for financial/accounting system.

You may qualify for consideration if meeting time-in grade, specialized experience, education requirement, 90 days after competitive appointment requirement, and all other qualification requirements within 30 calendar days after the closing date of the announcement, unless otherwise indicated on the announcement.
