Serves as a Frontline Manager within the En Route & Oceanic 2nd Level Engineering Group located at the William J. Hughes Technical Center in Atlantic City, NJ.  Manager will be responsible to direct and manage all administrative and technical activities of subordinate employees to accomplish the functional responsibilities of their group necessary to support National Airspace Systems (NAS) operational and developmental systems. Manager will apply a comprehensive knowledge of all aspects of the work directed in order to provide leadership and guidance to a diverse staff, which carries out the responsibility of program management, development, test, deployment, and support of NAS En Route and Oceanic Air Traffic Control systems and/or Decision Support Systems. This can include development, testing, maintenance, security, field support, and deployment of hardware and/or software. Additionally, this may include build planning/scheduling, development of support documentation (e.g., System Support Directives, maintenance handbooks, TI manuals, LOAs and MOAs), Safety Risk Management (SRM), identifying and solving technical problems, and contract management related to prime and non-prime contract requirements associated with the organization mission. Other assigned duties may include leading specific functional teams utilized for analysis of specific tests or programs.

To qualify for this position, you must demonstrate in your application that you possess at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to FV-J, FG/GS-14. Specialized experience is experience that has equipped you with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform successfully the duties of the position.

Specialized Experience is: Experience providing support for the maintenance of NAS real-time operation and support Air Traffic Control (ATC) systems.

Qualifications must be met by the closing date of this vacancy announcement.
