Incumbent must possess or have the capability to acquire a Commercial Driver' s License (CDL) and any required endorsements within 12 months of assignment.
Must be able to obtain and maintain appropriate HAZMAT training and/or certification IAW governing agencies requirements
Licensing of federal civilian employees in overseas areas will be governed by S tatus of Forces Agreements and/or host nation requirements
Position requires the ability to discern colors, contrast and depth and this position requires the incumbent to pass a pre-employment physical examination and annually thereafter.
Incumbent will work inside and outside and will be exposed to inclement weather, fumes from fuels and other petroleum products, and potential aircraft engine noise.
Incumbent will be required to wear foot, eye and ear protective gear and cotton clothing in performing duties.
The physical requirements of this position as determined by the manager are Exerts light to moderate physical effort while performing duties and selectee may lift or carry items that weigh up to 50 pounds.
Heavier items are moved with assistance from others or with weight handling equipment. Work requires considerable standing, walking, bending, climbing, and working in cramped conditions.
Qualifications
In order to qualify, you must meet the quality level of experience requirements described in the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualification Standards Handbook X-118C.
QUALIFICATIONS: Applicants will be rated in accordance with the OPM Qualification Standard Handbook X-118C for the WG-5400 Industrial Equipment Operation Family. Although a specific length of time and experience is not required for most blue-collar positions, you must meet any screen-out element listed, and show through experience and training that you possess the quality level of knowledge and skill necessary to perform the duties of the position at the level for which you are applying. Qualification requirements emphasis is on the quality of experience, not necessarily the length of time.

IDEAL CANDIDATE: Self-motivated, organized and capable logging inventory, maintain fuel logs, and accurately document product transfer metrics.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES (KSAs)
1. Knowledge of the operation of one or several complex work stations in fuel storage and distribution systems.
2. Knowledge of methods used in the load, unload, transfer, and storage of liquid fuels and cryogenic products.
3. Knowledge of the methods used to gauge tanks before, during, and at the end of fuel operations.
4. Skill in manipulating numerous controls to properly regulate the flow of liquids in a safe and efficient manner, and operating various types of pumps and other fuel distribution equipment.
5. Skill in performing routine operator maintenance and minor repair of items such as tanks, pumps, motors, and valves.
6. Ability to follow oral and written instructions.
PART-TIME OR UNPAID EXPERIENCE: Credit will be given for appropriate unpaid and or part-time work. You must clearly identify the duties and responsibilities in each position held and the total number of hours per week.
