This vacancy announcement is for a Dual-Status Technician position which requires active membership in the New Jersey National Guard (uniformed military service). Official appointment is not effective until membership within the New Jersey National Guard is confirmed by the gaining Human Resources Office.
As an ITSPEC (INFOSEC/NETWORK), GS-2210-11, you will:
Identify, analyze threats, and vulnerabilities to the systems
Review, analyze, and validate certification and accreditation packages
Ensure computer software designs address information system security requirements
Protect and maintain the integrity, confidentiality, and accountability of information system
Manage the Network Security Program
Evaluate unusual circumstances to recognize and define potential vulnerabilities and selects and oversee the installation of physical and technical security barriers

Areas of Consideration:

Compatible Military Assignments: 1D7XXX Selected applicant must have the ability to obtain 1B4 AFSC within 1 year of appointment.

Qualifications
General Experience:
Must have experience with the following:

Specialized Experience:
Must have 36 months of the following Specialized Experience:
Techniques and requirements appropriate to an assigned computer applications

Preparing documentation on cost and benefit studies
Education
Substitution of Education for Specialized Experience:
Ph.D. or equivalent, or 3 years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree. The degree must be in computer science, engineering, information science, information systems management, mathematics, operations research, statistics, or technology management or degree and provided a minimum of 24 semester hours in one or more of the fields identified above and required the development or adaptation of applications, systems or networks.
