Summary

Duties described below are at the highest grade advertised. Duties assigned at lower grade levels will be of more limited scope, performed with less independence and limited complexity; duties will be commensurate with the grade of selected employee.
Assist in the design, configuration, implementation, and maintenance of enterprise-class computer hardware, operating systems, and end user services.
Support the development and implementation of short-term and long-term system and process improvement plans for NASA endpoints and end user services, ensuring that the changes can be implemented with minimal disruption.
Monitor daily operations of the end user environment and recommend solutions to maintain service availability and performance.
Prepare and maintain technical documentation, including system diagrams, process flows, specifications, and user guides.
Participate in system integration, migration, modernization, and deployment activities for end user computing services.
Analyze system issues, trends, and customer needs to recommend improvements to end user services and support processes.
Provide technical support and troubleshooting for hardware, software, and operating system issues in a multi-user environment.
Research emerging technologies and industry trends to support continuous improvement of endpoint services and workplace solutions.

Qualifications
Specialized experience is experience that has equipped you with the particular ability, skill, and knowledge to successfully perform the duties of this position and is typically in or related to this line of work.
You may meet the basic requirements through substitution of education for experience
To qualify for the GS-9, you must have:
a) One year of directly related specialized experience equivalent to the GS-07 level:
Creating reports and presentations based on findings and communicating results and/or suggestions to management and stakeholders;
Providing technical troubleshooting to IT systems; and
Assisting with the configuration, deployment, or maintenance of computer hardware, operating systems, or end user services against defined system baselines.
OR
b) Completed all requirements for a master's degree or equivalent graduate degree with (1) a major in computer science, engineering, information science, information systems management, mathematics, operations research, statistics, or technology management OR (2) a major that provided a minimum of 24 semester in one or more fields of computer science, engineering, information science, information systems management, mathematics, operations research, statistics, or technology management, and that required the development or adaptation of applications, systems, or networks.
OR
c) Completed 2 full academic years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to a master's degree or equivalent graduate degree with (1) a major in computer science, engineering, information science, information systems management, mathematics, operations research, statistics, or technology management OR (2) a major that provided a minimum of 24 semester hours in one or more fields of computer science, engineering, information science, information systems management, mathematics, operations research, statistics, or technology management, and that required the development or adaptation of applications, systems, or networks.
To qualify for the GS-11, you must have:
a) One year of directly related specialized experience equivalent to the GS-09 level:
Analyzing enterprise IT systems architecture to assess support, identify gaps, risks, and recommend courses of action;
Creating reports and presentations based on findings and communicating results and/or suggestions to management and stakeholders; and
Providing technical troubleshooting to IT systems deployed in a multi-user environment.

b) Completed all requirements for a Ph.D. degree or equivalent doctoral degree with (1) a major in computer science, engineering, information science, information systems management, mathematics, operations research, statistics, or technology management OR (2) a major that provided a minimum of 24 semester hours in one or more fields of computer science, engineering, information science, information systems management, mathematics, operations research, statistics, or technology management, and that required the development or adaptation of applications, systems, or networks.
OR
c) Completed 3 full academic years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to a Ph.D. degree or equivalent doctoral degree with (1) a major in computer science, engineering, information science, information systems management, mathematics, operations research, statistics, or technology management OR (2) a major that provided a minimum of 24 semester hours in one or more of fields of computer science, engineering, information science, information systems management, mathematics, operations research, statistics, or technology management, and that required the development or adaptation of applications, systems, or networks.
AND
