Duties

Help

As an PRODUCTION CONTROLLER (AIRCRAFT), GS-1152-9, you will:

  • Monitors and updates real-time fleet health and status codes (FMC/PMC/NMC) using automated systems like IMDS or G081.

  • Serves as the primary dispatch hub for the flightline, coordinating specialists, fuel, munitions, and support equipment.

  • Executes emergency response protocols and checklists via the "Crash Phone" network for ground or inflight emergencies.

  • Tracks and documents flying schedule deviations, logging exact reasons for air aborts, ground aborts, and late takeoffs.

  • Deconflicts flightline resource constraints by coordinating directly with Production Superintendents and Expediters.

Military Requirements

Compatible military grade and assignment required prior to the effective date of placement. This is an excepted service position that requires membership in a compatible military assignment in the employing state's National Guard. Applicants who are not currently a member of the National Guard must be eligible for immediate membership. If you are not sure you are eligible for military membership, please contact a National Guard recruiter prior to applying for this position.

Must have a 7lvl MX AFSC

Qualifications

General Experience:
Experience, education, or training that demonstrates a solid knowledge of equipment maintenance work, skill in interpreting technical data or specifications, and proficiency using computerized/automated databases

Specialized Experience:
Must have 24 months of experience, education or training in the following:

  • Directly coordinating, monitoring, and controlling maintenance activities
  • Following up to see if work is progressing as planned
  • Experience with current automation support programs to input data
  • Tracking fleet health,
  • Dispatching specialists
  • Managing flightline communications
  • Executing emergency response checklists
