Help
  • Operate forklift to move, store, and load items to be shipped.
  • Inspect, pack, and certify regulatory compliance with applicable DOT regulations for all hazardous material shipments.
  • Perform dimensional and visual inspections of pallet cargo.

  • This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment. A background investigation and credit check are required.

Minimum Qualifications (Screen Out Element): Ability to do the work of a(n) Materials Products and Equipment Inspector ~ without more than normal supervision. Perform common Materials Products and Equipment Inspector duties including completing a variety of inspections of materials, products, and equipment for adherence to designated specifications. I am skilled in ensuring items are correctly identified by catalogs, manuals, and/or drawings; skilled in conducting research on items, downloading reports, creating shipping manifests and operating handheld electronic devices such as scanners, tablets, and printers. - Failure to meet this Screen out Element will result in an ineligible rating.

  • PHYSICAL EFFORT: The work involves prolonged periods of standing, walking, repeated bending and occasional climbing. Moderate lifting and carrying (approximately 40 pounds) of items is required. Hoists, hand-trucks, and other workers are available for assistance with heavier items.
  • WORKING CONDITIONS: Incumbent generally works inside approximately 75 percent of the time, depending on workload, in an adequately lighted, heated and ventilated working area. Incumbent periodically inspects items outside and may occasionally be exposed to poor weather conditions.
