As a Toolmaker Supervisor, you will be administratively and technically responsible for the supervision of work operations performed by the following: Toolmaker Work Leader, Toolmakers, Machinists, and Apprentices.
All candidates who are:
(1) Current United States Mint employees who are qualifying as Status Eligibles or currently serving on a Veterans Recruitment Appointment (VRA),
(2) CTAP eligible.
Plan and schedule work, sequence of operations, manpower, equipment, materials, and tools on a day-to-day, project-by-project, and month-to-month basis for the overall use of subordinate personnel.
Explain work requirements, methods and procedures to subordinates; advises and counsels workers on how to improve performance and explains new work techniques.
Identify and ensures work unit goals are aligned with United States Mint strategic goals.
All employees must wear face masks while on MINT property when required by CDC and Federal guidelines.
All newly appointed employees to the competitive (or excepted) service are subject to a probationary (or trial) period. During this time, your performance, conduct, and suitability for continued employment will be evaluated. You will not automatically convert to permanent status at the end of the probationary (or trial) period. Your supervisor must affirmatively determine that continued employment is in the best interest of the Federal service.
