As the DIRECTOR OF OPERATIONS, you will:

  • Provide strategic leadership over all TFI financial management, including budget prioritization, formulation, justification, execution, operating plans, supplemental requests, risk assessments, congressional materials, reimbursable agreements, and other related national security program support.
  • Integrate and align financial, human capital, facilities, and operational resources across TFI components to support mission priorities and ensure effective execution of national security programs.
  • Coordinate operational and resource management activities with TFI component offices, Treasury bureaus, and external partners to ensure alignment with departmental and national security priorities.
  • Develop and oversee organizational metrics and performance measures for TFI programs, including those reported to senior leadership and external oversight entities.
  • Lead organizational restructuring and process improvement initiatives to increase efficiency, streamline operations, and enhance mission delivery across TFI.

Key Requirements:

  • Must be U.S. Citizen or U.S. National.
  • All newly appointed employees to the competitive (or excepted) service are subject to a probationary (or trial) period. During this time, your performance, conduct, and suitability for continued employment will be evaluated. Your supervisor must affirmatively determine that continued employment is in the best interest of the Federal service.   • A one-year supervisory or managerial probationary period may be required.
  • Must successfully complete a background investigation.
  • All new hires will be required to comply with federal ethics laws. A review of financial or other interests may be conducted to determine if they create any real or apparent conflict of interests with official Treasury duties.
  • Complete a Declaration for Federal Employment to determine your suitability for Federal employment, at the time requested by the agency.
  • Have your salary sent to a financial institution of your choice by Direct Deposit/Electronic Funds Transfer.
  • If you are a male applicant born after December 31, 1959, certify that you have registered with the Selective Service System or are exempt from having to do so.
  • Go through a Personal Identity Verification (PIV) process that requires two forms of identification from the Form I-9. Federal law requires verification of the identity and employment eligibility of all new hires in the U.S.
  • Obtain and use a Government-issued charge card for business-related travel.
  • File a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report within 30 days of appointment and annually from then on.

Qualifications

You must meet the following requirements within 30 days of the closing date of this announcement.

SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE:For the GS-15 grade level, you must have one year (52 full weeks) of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-14 grade level in the Federal service. Specialized Experience for this position includes:

  • Recommending solutions for the provision of administrative services, such as human capital, budget, facilities, or procurement, for an office or organization.; AND
  • Integrating and aligning resources across multiple organizational components and external partners to ensure effective execution of strategic priorities and mission objectives.; AND
  • Leading strategic planning, performance management, and organizational initiatives, including the development of metrics, process improvements, and operational efficiency enhancements.; AND
  • Advising senior leadership and representing an organization in high-level internal or external stakeholder engagements involving sensitive or high impact issues.; AND
  • Collaborating with and influencing internal and external stakeholders to advance organizational priorities and achieve outcomes.

The experience may have been gained in either the public, private sector or volunteer service. One year of experience refers to full-time work; part-time work is considered on a prorated basis. To ensure full credit for your work experience, please indicate dates of employment by month/day/year, and indicate number of hours worked per week on your resumé.

TIME-IN-GRADE: In addition to the above requirements, you must meet the following time-in-grade requirement, if applicable: For the GS-15, you must have been at the GS-14 level for 52 weeks.

TIME AFTER COMPETITIVE APPOINTMENT: Candidates who are current Federal employees serving on a non-temporary competitive appointment must have served at least three months in that appointment.
