Duties

Help

This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for Acq Demo Business and Technical Management to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service.

As a Configuration Management Specialist at the NH-0301-3 broadband level, some of your typical work assignments may include:

  • Coordinates comprehensive CM/DM activities across the system lifecycle, facilitating the engineering release process and reviewing ECPs, SCNs, and RFVs for technical accuracy and adherence to serialization standards.
  • Establishes and maintains authoritative functional, allocated, and product baselines by conducting rigorous reviews of Technical Data Packages (TDPs) to ensure data integrity for procurement and production.
  • Provides expert guidance to the Configuration Control Board (CCB), utilizing systems such as Windchill and DSREDS to maintain real-time status accounting while developing standardized CM policies and procedures.
  • Facilitates Functional and Physical Configuration Audits (FCA/PCA) to validate as-designed, as-built, and as-modified configurations, ensuring contractor deliverables strictly adhere to Configuration Identification Documentation (CID).
  • Synthesizes technical data audits to support complex acquisition strategies and Foreign Military Sales (FMS), ensuring seamless integration and configuration compliance across joint government and contractor teams.

Qualifications

You may qualify at the NH-03 Broadband Level, if you fulfill the following qualifications:

A. One year of specialized experience equivalent to the NH-02/GS11 grade level in the Federal service as listed below and must meet 2 of the 3 specialized experience listed below to be qualified:

  • Experience in Managing Configuration & Data Management processes.
  • Experience in Ensuring technical compliance and the accuracy of contract deliverables.
  • Experience in Executing root cause analysis and corrective actions to validate and ensure weapon system baseline integrity.
Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.

Education

Substitution of education may not be used in lieu of specialized experience for this grade level.
